Ryan Vandrey, PhD

John Hopkins University

Dr. Ryan Vandrey, a professor at Johns Hopkins University, studies how cannabis administration, dose, and composition affect its effects and pharmacokinetics. His work includes the risks and benefits of medicinal cannabis, its impact on sleep, withdrawal, and treatments for Cannabis Use Disorder, as well as cannabis product testing and use behavior measures. Dr. Vandrey has served a consultant to the Colorado Task Force with ONE HEMP members in developing state hemp regulatory guidelines through his research on THC's intoxication limits.

Rayetta G. Henderson, PhD

ToxStrategies

Dr. Henderson, Director of ToxStrategies' Foods & Consumer Products Practice, specializes in assessing food, feed, and dietary supplement ingredients, with a focus on botanicals. She develops materials for regulatory submissions like GRAS and NDI notifications to the FDA. Since the 2018 Farm Bill, her work has centered on assessing CBD and hemp-derived products for food and supplement use, including safety and toxicology testing. Dr. Henderson has advised the United States Congress on CBD safety and upper limits through her research and contributed to ONE HEMP'S RFI submission to the FDA and Congress to help shape sensible next steps of federal CBD regulation.

Marcel Bonn-Miller, PhD

Charlotte's Web

Dr. Bonn-Miller, Chief Scientific Officer at Charlotte's Web, has over 20 years of experience in cannabinoid research. He previously served as Vice-President of Human and Animal Research at Canopy Growth Corporation and held roles at Zynerba Pharmaceuticals, the University of Pennsylvania, and the Department of Veterans Affairs. He has published over 150 research papers and co-authored three patents related to CBD's use in treating psychological illnesses. Dr. Bonn-Miller also reviews medical literature on cannabinoids, addiction, and behavioral psychology and serves on the editorial boards of several scientific journals. Dr. Bonn-Miller has guided the US Congress regarding significant CBD safety studies through an RFI process with ONE HEMP and also, worked with Dr. Henderson on a landmark CBD upper limits study.
